Next is withdrawing from the entire daycare class of business in Mississippi, according to a newly approved regulatory filing.

The Munich Re-owned insurer originally notified regulators that it would discontinue general liability coverage for daycare businesses. That notice was approved on August 7, but Next later clarified that it had inadvertently omitted other lines from the filing.

The amended withdrawal covers general liability, commercial property and commercial multi-peril coverage. It takes effect for new and renewal business on September 28, 2026.

Next said no other terms of its original withdrawal notice have changed. The Mississippi Insurance Department approved the amended filing on September 14 and instructed the insurer to notify affected policyholders.
