Next Insurance has filed to introduce workers’ compensation coverage in Idaho.
The program, underwritten by Next Insurance US Company and branded ERGO | NEXT, would become available for new and renewal business upon regulatory approval.
The filing includes annual, monthly and pay-as-you-go payment options. Businesses using the pay-as-you-go plan must submit verified payroll records through their payroll provider or NEXT’s platform.
NEXT also proposes schedule-rating credits or debits of up to 25% based on factors including employee training, workplace safety, management practices and medical controls.
The filing is pending with the Idaho Department of Insurance.
As a side note, Next currently offers workers’ compensation in Idaho through State National, with policies underwritten by its National Specialty Insurance Company subsidiary.
