Liberty Mutual Files Homeowners Rate Revision in Georgia

Liberty Mutual has filed to revise its homeowners insurance program in Georgia, resulting in an overall rate decrease of 0.1% for H3 policies.

The filing covers Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and Liberty Mutual Personal Insurance Company, which collectively insure 5,696 policyholders representing approximately $14.5 million in written premium.

Liberty Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an average decrease of 0.25% for 164 policyholders, while Liberty Mutual Personal Insurance Company is proposing an average decrease of 0.05% for 5,532 policyholders.

Individual policy changes may range from a decrease of 19% to an increase of 11.1%. The companies are revising base rates and rating factors tied to the age of the home and roof.

The changes are expected to take effect on October 5, 2026, for new business and November 9, 2026, for renewals. The filing was submitted on July 16.
