Liberty Mutual filed a new landlord insurance program in Georgia.
The program will be available for new business beginning November 14, 2026, subject to regulatory review. Because it is a new offering, the filing has no impact on existing policyholders. Rates and underwriting rules were submitted separately.
Landlords will be able to choose from basic, broad and special policy forms providing property and liability coverage. Optional endorsements include extended dwelling coverage, personal property replacement cost, theft of building materials, equipment breakdown, service line coverage, water seepage and leakage, sump overflow, personal offense coverage and replacement cost coverage for roof surfaces damaged by wind or hail.
A short-term rental endorsement extends coverage to properties rented through platforms such as Airbnb or Vrbo. It includes theft coverage, up to $10,000 for lost rental income when a reservation is canceled because of a covered loss, and up to $2,500 for damage to others’ property.
The program also offers coverage for short-term vacancies, on-premises theft, matching undamaged siding, roofing and windows, and damage caused by the escape of water from a sump, sump pump or drain.
