Incline introduces Texas homeowners program with Bamboo

Incline National Insurance Company (new) is introducing a new homeowners insurance program in Texas, with a targeted effective date of July 1, 2026.

The program is built on proprietary forms and endorsements, rather than standard ISO-based coverage, signaling a more controlled approach to underwriting and coverage design.

At its core is an HO-2 style policy under the Bamboo brand, supported by a wide set of endorsements that shape how risk is covered, limited, or priced.

A key feature is how the policy handles roof-related losses. Instead of full replacement in all cases, payouts for wind or hail damage are tied to the age and type of the roof, with older roofs receiving significantly lower reimbursement percentages. This approach reduces exposure to one of the most volatile loss drivers in Texas while shifting more responsibility to the policyholder over time.

The filing also introduces multiple deductible structures tied to catastrophe risks. Windstorm and hail losses can be subject to percentage deductibles, and named storm events carry their own deductible framework based on a percentage of the dwelling limit.

Coverage is further shaped through targeted exclusions and limitations. These include a communicable disease exclusion, restrictions on fungi or microbial-related losses, and optional limitations such as roof coverage restricted to fire and lightning in certain cases.

At the same time, the program includes optional enhancements such as foundation coverage for certain water-related damage, limited water backup coverage, and endorsements for scheduled personal property with agreed value settlement.

The overall structure reflects a familiar shift in the Texas homeowners market: tighter control of catastrophe exposure, especially around roofs and weather, combined with modular coverage options and clearer cost-sharing for policyholders.
