Homesite Insurance Company broadened its Florida homeowners underwriting guidelines, increasing the maximum Coverage A limit from $900,000 to $1.25 million. Filed on a “use and file” basis, the change aims to expand eligibility and better serve higher-value homes in the state.
The filing also maintains strict standards for older properties, requiring updated electrical systems, approved piping materials, and verified hurricane protections via the OIR-B1-1802 inspection form.
Roofs must be certified to have at least five years of remaining life.
The update takes effect for new business on March 23, 2026, and renewals on March 24, 2026.
