Homesite Switches Tennessee Condo Insurance Credit Model

Homesite filed a rate revision in Tennessee that replaces its TransUnion Insurance Risk Score model with the TrueRisk AutoProperty Insurance Score for its condominium homeowners (HO-6) program. The filing was submitted on June 30, 2026, with requested effective dates of October 23, 2026, for new business and December 10, 2026, for renewals.

The change affects only the insurance score model used for underwriting and tier assignment. Homesite said the new TrueRisk score ranges were developed to align as closely as practicable with the existing TransUnion Insurance Risk Score ranges so that policyholders are assigned to comparable tiers. According to the filing, the update applies to new business and to existing policyholders who request a reorder of their insurance score.

Homesite stated that the change will have no rate impact, with the filing showing a 0.0% overall indicated change, 0.0% overall rate impact, no written premium change, and approximately 1,259 Tennessee condominium policyholders affected.

The revised rating manual replaces references to the TransUnion Insurance Risk Score with the TrueRisk AutoProperty Insurance Score in the company’s claims and credit tier definitions. Applications that do not return an insurance score, such as “No Hit” or “No Score,” will be assigned a TrueRisk AutoProperty Insurance Score of 700 for tiering purposes.
