Berkley Seeks New Jersey Approval for ExecCrime

Berkley Insurance Company is seeking approval to introduce ExecCrime, its proprietary commercial crime insurance product, in New Jersey.

Designed for private companies and nonprofits, ExecCrime covers exposures including employee theft, losses involving client property, fraudulent impersonation, social engineering, computer fraud and funds transfer fraud. The product is intended to complement Berkley’s existing management liability offerings.

The filing includes 31 new forms, including endorsements covering telecommunications fraud, personal accounts, guests’ property, staffing services and trade-secret theft. Berkley said the program is already approved in every other jurisdiction where it has been filed.

New Jersey regulators have requested additional support for the forms, rates, target market and comparable filings. The filing remains pending, with Berkley seeking a Nov. 1, 2026, effective date.
