Admiral Indemnity Company, part of W.R. Berkley, filed a new mandatory endorsement with the California Department of Insurance under SERFF Tracking Number BNIC-134511280. The endorsement, titled War, Infrastructure and Sanctions Exclusions (SP 653 10 23), will attach to all new and renewal policies that include the Cyber Suite Coverage Endorsement within the company’s restaurant-focused general liability program.

The exclusion modifies the Cyber Suite Coverage to clarify that there is no coverage for losses related to cyber warfare, hostile actions by combatants (state or non-state actors), and failures of third-party telecom infrastructure. It also excludes coverage that would expose the insurer or insured to violations of U.S. or international sanctions laws.
