Selective Insurance Company of South Carolina has submitted a rule filing in Arizona to revise the Good Payer Discount for personal auto insurance policies. The filing, accepted by the Arizona Department of Insurance under SERFF Tracking Number SELC-134503012, clarifies eligibility and removal criteria for the discount.

Effective July 17, 2025, the updated rule states that a discount applies if, at new business processing, the insured has no more than one cancellation notice for non-payment in the prior 12 months. The discount is removed at renewal if more than one such notice is issued during the policy term. It can be reinstated only after the policy completes a full term with no non-pay cancellations. The change will apply to all new and renewal business starting on the effective date.

Selective has also submitted a parallel filing in Rhode Island.
