National General’s Safe Auto Choice Insurance Company has filed a 12.2% overall rate decrease for its Georgia RAD7 Value personal auto program, following a 9% reduction effective in June.
The filing lists 23,049 affected policyholders and approximately $76.2 million in written premium, with an estimated premium reduction of $9.3 million. Requested effective dates are December 17, 2026, for new business and January 22, 2027, for renewals.
A supporting memorandum describes a broader expansion of National General’s Georgia pricing structure. Alongside the Safe Auto Choice decrease and an 11.8% proposed reduction at MIC General, the company plans to introduce RAD7 Value through Direct National and Integon National.
The additional underwriting companies would use substantially the same rates and rules as the existing programs, with different base rates. New customers would be assigned among the companies based on National General’s underwriting score.
“By leveraging these new companies, we can optimize risk placement often resulting in favorable new business rates for Georgia consumers,” National General states.
The company says pricing changes at Safe Auto Choice and MIC General focus on base rates and liability factors, drawing on indications from its RAD6 Value program and approved competitor filings.
The Safe Auto Choice filing was submitted October 19, 2026, on a file-and-use basis.
