Root plans to transfer its Wisconsin personal auto policies from Root Property & Casualty Insurance Company to affiliate Root Select Insurance Company at renewal.

The move is part of an underwriting company transition in the state. Root said coverage will continue without interruption and that policy terms and premium rates will not change solely because of the transfer.

Existing payment methods and previously signed policy documents will also transfer to Root Select, with no action required from policyholders.

Root expects to begin using the policy-transfer notice on or after Oct. 9, 2026.
