Liberty Mutual Insurance Company has filed a rule change in New Mexico introducing a $50 cancellation fee on personal auto policies. The fee applies to all new business policies during their first term, whether canceled at the insured’s request or for nonpayment.

The filing, effective October 20, 2025, carries no premium impact and updates the state’s automobile rule manual. Existing discounts—including violation free, homeowner, digital, student, and training-based credits—remain unchanged.
