Amica Mutual Insurance Company has submitted a rate and rule filing in Arkansas for its Private Passenger Auto (PPA) program. The filing, dated November 3, 2025, requests effective dates of May 1, 2026, for new business and June 1, 2026, for renewals.
The filing affects 478 policyholders and $1.25 million in written premium, resulting in an estimated $12,512 premium increase. The proposed overall rate change is +1.0%, compared to an actuarially indicated +1.3%.
Key updates include revisions to base rates, uninsured motorist (UM) rates, and Affinity Partnership Discount rules. The maximum rate increase per policy is capped at 12%, and the minimum decrease at -10%. More than half of affected policies (51%) are expected to see modest changes between 0% and +4%. Property Damage coverage reflects an overall -15.2% rate effect.
The filing, made under Arkansas’s “File and Use” method, follows a prior 1.4% rate decrease and continues Amica’s trend of measured adjustments to maintain rate adequacy while limiting consumer impact.
