Amica introduced a new North Carolina private passenger auto filing with an overall rate impact of -2%, affecting 58,823 policyholders and approximately $60.7 million in written premium.

The filing, submitted on May 14, 2026, would take effect October 1, 2026, for new and renewal business.

The filing includes updates to Amica’s preferred risk deviation program, which uses factors such as policy rate level, territory, multiline business, loyalty, claims history, vehicle discovery level, and “Red Carpet” eligibility to determine pricing adjustments. The program also incorporates discounts tied to bundled policies, advance quote timing, claims-free history, and digital business.

Amica also expanded its affinity partnership discount program. Under the filing, policyholders with active memberships in organizations including BMW Car Club of America, Audi Club of North America, Mini Motoring Club of America, Penn State Alumni, Porsche Club of America, and Providence College Alumni would receive a 10% discount on eligible non-fleet private passenger auto policies, subject to underwriting criteria. The affinity discount applies only when the policy’s preferred risk level is below 175.
