Amica Mutual has filed revised rules for its motorcycle physical damage program in North Carolina, adding credit group to the calculation of its “Red Carpet” new business discount.

The proposed discount varies by credit group, digital or non-digital source, years with the prior carrier and other policies held with Amica. It generally shrinks over subsequent renewals. For example, a top-credit-group customer with zero to three years at a prior carrier who also holds an Amica auto policy would receive an 11% first-year discount through the digital channel, versus 7% through the non-digital channel.

Amica says the revision is intended to align the motorcycle rules with a related auto filing. Submitted Sept. 24, the filing requests a Feb. 1, 2027 effective date for new business and renewals. It remains pending and provides no overall rate impact.
