Amica Mutual Insurance Company has introduced a new Digital Discount for its Personal Auto program in South Dakota, encouraging customers to purchase policies through online channels. The filing, approved on October 31, 2025, applies to both new and renewal business effective March 1, 2026.
The update revises Rule 16 and Affinity Partnership rules to incorporate a 5% discount for policies originated via the web, which will gradually decline to 2% over time. Policies initiated by phone do not qualify for the discount.



The change reflects expense savings from digital acquisition and aims to promote customer self-service and online engagement. The filing leverages ISO copyrighted material and represents a broader trend of insurers aligning pricing incentives with digital adoption.
