Karen Clark & Company’s US Hurricane Model Version 5.0 has been certified by the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology, making KCC the first vendor to meet the latest standards.
Version 5.0 introduces enhanced vulnerability functions for manufactured homes and appurtenant structures, new secondary building characteristics, and added support for law and ordinance coverage and roof ACV endorsements. It also incorporates two additional years of climate data to reflect recent shifts in hurricane activity.
The certification reinforces KCC’s position as a trusted partner for (re)insurers seeking defensible models for pricing, underwriting, and regulatory compliance.
