GM National Insurance Company has received approval in Missouri to introduce a new Additional Benefits endorsement for its private passenger auto product, expanding the types of non insurance benefits that may be offered alongside coverage.
The filing was submitted on January 8, 2026, and approved on January 12, 2026. The endorsement will apply to new business effective March 17, 2026, and renewals effective May 1, 2026. No rate changes were included as part of the filing.
The new endorsement allows GM National to offer policyholders access to optional promotional benefits or premium assistance programs. Promotional benefits may include goods and services, memberships, gift cards, rewards points, discounts, or charitable donations. Premium assistance programs allow a third party such as an automaker, dealership, or financing company to pay all or part of a customer’s insurance premium, subject to program specific caps and conditions.
Under the filing, participation in any additional benefits program is optional, and GM National is not obligated to offer any specific program. The endorsement also authorizes limited data sharing with affiliates or third parties for eligibility verification and program administration.
General Motors reaches 370 insurance policyholders in the state.
A similar filing was submitted in Georgia and Wisconsin.
