Foxquilt has filed to introduce a professional liability errors and omissions program in Virginia for small businesses, micro-businesses and sole proprietors.
The program is designed for businesses performing multiple professional services under one entity, allowing several operations to be covered under a single policy instead of requiring separate policies. Eligible professions include accountants, consultants, architects, engineers, insurance agents, real estate brokers, technology consultants, health and wellness providers, photographers and property managers.
Coverage will be underwritten by Markel subsidiary City National Insurance Company on a claims-made basis. Limits range from $25,000 to $5 million, with minimum premiums starting at $280—or $470 for insurance agents.
Foxquilt plans to distribute the product through retail brokers, its website and partnerships with companies and platforms that require contractors to carry professional liability insurance.
The filing requests an October 1, 2026, effective date and is pending with Virginia regulators.
