Pinnacle National Files High-Hazard Workers’ Comp Program in Georgia

Pinnacle National, part of State National, has filed to launch a new Workers’ Compensation program in Georgia focused on high-hazard class codes in the middle market. The filing adopts NCCI loss costs effective March 1, 2025, and adds a company-specific loss cost multiplier with five risk tiers: Ultra Preferred (0.583), Preferred (0.875), Standard (1.000), Non-Standard (1.458), and High Risk (1.749).

Classified as a neutral rate change, the filing shows no immediate premium or policyholder impact. Written premium for the program is listed as zero, though Pinnacle reported $5.7 million in net written premium in 2024. Expense data from Markel Insurance Group and State National Insurance Company, Inc. was used to support the filing.
