AIG WarrantyGuard has filed a new consumer electronics protection plan in Oregon that will be marketed and sold through Techcycle Solutions.

The plan covers mechanical and electrical failures and may also cover power surge damage and accidental damage from handling, including drops and liquid spills. Coverage options will be specified in the customer’s order confirmation.

AIG WarrantyGuard may repair or replace a covered device or reimburse the customer. Total benefits are capped at the device’s purchase price, excluding taxes and installation costs.

Techcycle Solutions will administer the program. The filing requests an effective date upon approval.
