AIG WarrantyGuard has introduced a new service contract program in Connecticut, submitting the filing on March 26, 2026. The program, branded as “New Leaf,” is currently under review, with both new and renewal business set to become effective upon approval.
The updated agreement outlines a broad extended warranty offering covering mechanical and electrical breakdowns, power surges, and accidental damage from handling across a wide range of consumer products, including appliances, electronics, furniture, and sporting goods.
Coverage is structured around multiple plan types, including repair, replacement, and parts-and-labor options, with variations that extend into accidental damage and commercial use cases. Claims must be reported within 30 days of failure, and service fulfillment can take the form of repair, replacement, or reimbursement, depending on availability and economics. Liability is capped at the original purchase price of the covered item.
The program is administered by New Leaf Service Contracts, Inc., which also serves as the distribution channel.
