AIG to Withdraw Yacht Program in Virginia

New Hampshire Insurance Company, part of AIG, has filed to withdraw its Yacht Program in Virginia, with both new and renewal business ending effective October 17, 2025. The filing, submitted on August 28, 2025, impacts 298 in-force policies representing about $414,899 in annual premium.

The move follows the termination of its Program Administrator Agreement by One80 Intermediaries, Inc., which managed the program and holds renewal rights. One80 is expected to arrange replacement coverage for affected customers through other carriers.

In its letter to the Virginia Deputy Commissioner, New Hampshire Insurance noted that the decision to nonrenew was driven by the administrator’s termination and not by solvency concerns. The company also requested confidential treatment for the filing due to proprietary information.

The Yacht Program, written under the Inland Marine/Boatowners/Personal Watercraft line, underscores the risks insurers face when distribution depends on a single program administrator.
