Accredited Surety and Casualty Company filed a notice on April 28, 2025, to discontinue its workers’ compensation business in Kansas, affecting 155 policies and $483,127 in written premium.

Effective July 1, 2025, Accredited will cease writing workers’ comp nationwide following the end of its partnerships with Appalachian Underwriters and Cornerstone Underwriters. Reinsurance coverage will not extend past the program’s expiration. Policyholders will receive nonrenewal notices, and Appalachian may offer alternative coverage. Accredited will retain liability for claims incurred before nonrenewal. No rate changes are included in the filing.
