Florida regulators approved auto rate decreases averaging 7% across several USAA Group programs, affecting more than 498,000 policies.
The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation reported average decreases ranging from 0.4% to 11.2%. Brevard, Escambia and Okaloosa counties, where USAA has its highest concentrations of business, will see average reductions of 5.8%, 8% and 8.4%, respectively.
The approval follows nearly $1 billion in rate reductions and direct member returns USAA provided to Florida members between December 2025 and July 2026, including a $500 million dividend to approximately 830,000 members.
According to OIR, Florida’s five largest auto insurance groups, representing 81% of the market, show an indicated rate decrease of 12.6% for 2026. The state’s personal auto liability loss ratio was 52.5% in 2025, its lowest in 15 years.
