USAA plans to add coverage for personal property damaged or lost during military moves to its North Carolina homeowners policies.

The Armed Services PCS Coverage endorsement will provide up to $10,000 of additional coverage during a full permanent change of station move. Personally procured moves, also known as PPM or DITY moves, will be excluded.

The endorsement will be automatically included in all eligible homeowners policies at no additional charge. USAA plans to introduce it through United Services Automobile Association, USAA Casualty Insurance Company, USAA General Indemnity Company and Garrison Property and Casualty Insurance Company.

The filing is scheduled to take effect for new and renewal business on April 30, 2027, subject to approval. USAA General Indemnity reported 42,374 North Carolina homeowners exposures and $106.8 million in written premium.
