USAA plans to introduce a LexisNexis Vehicle History Score into its North Carolina personal auto rating plan.
The new factor will redistribute premiums among policyholders based on vehicle history data, although USAA expects no change to its overall rate level. Individual customers could pay more or less once the score is applied.
The filing applies across USAA, USAA Casualty Insurance Company, USAA General Indemnity Company and Garrison Property and Casualty Insurance Company.
USAA’s broader deviation plan affects approximately 72,672 exposures, representing 81% of its North Carolina book. The group holds an 8.04% share of the state’s personal auto market.
The change is expected to take effect Jan. 23, 2027, for new and renewal business.
