Progressive Updates Pennsylvania BOP Forms

United Financial Casualty, part of Progressive, has filed an updated set of forms for its Businessowners policy in Pennsylvania as part of Progressive’s broader effort to modernize small commercial products.

The filing was submitted January 16, 2026, accepted on a file and use basis, and applies to new business from March 20, 2026, with renewals effective June 13, 2026.

The update reinforces a modular BOP structure, pairing a base policy with optional add-ons for equipment breakdown, cyber, professional liability, EPLI, and supplemental reporting. Equipment breakdown coverage is expanded to better address data restoration, service interruption, cloud outages, mobile robots, and cyber-related physical damage, reflecting evolving small business risks.

Cyber coverage continues to be offered through a standalone Cyber Suite rather than embedded in other coverages, maintaining clearer separation of cyber risk.

Similarly, Progressive Southeastern Insurance Company filed a broad forms update for its North Carolina Businessowners program, aimed at modernizing coverage, expanding optional endorsements, and aligning the product with its multi-state BOP framework. The forms-only filing was submitted on January 16, 2026, with changes applying to new business starting May 1, 2026, and renewals transitioning July 10, 2026.
