The rate filing was submitted and approved on January 15, 2026, with new and renewal business both effective July 1, 2026. The filing applies to Independence American’s pet health insurance program, which is administered and distributed by PetPartners, and written on an inland marine form basis.

The approved filing carries an overall rate impact of 9.4%, affecting 176 policyholders and approximately $106,000 in written premium. The increase is expected to generate about $10,000 in additional annual premium for the program. The prior rate revision, effective July 1, 2025, was an 8% increase, signaling continued upward pricing pressure.
