Hiscox filed a 3.7% rate increase for its direct professional liability program in Montana.

The change affects 855 policyholders and $826,773 in written premium, generating an estimated premium increase of $30,824. Individual policy impacts range from no change to an increase of 5.2%.

Hiscox is raising its base rates by approximately 5% across revenue bands, compared with an actuarially indicated statewide increase of 17.7%. The insurer’s previous Montana revision produced a 9.8% increase effective in August 2024.

The new rates take effect September 14, 2026, for new business and January 12, 2027, for renewals.
