Encompass Insurance, part of Allstate, has filed a new landlord insurance product in Tennessee under its Custom360 platform, expanding its homeowners offering into the rental property segment.
The product, branded Custom360 Landlord, targets existing Custom360 customers seeking a consistent insurance experience when covering one to four unit properties used for non commercial rental purposes.
Filed on March 23, 2026, the program includes new policy forms, applications, and endorsements, with both new business and renewals effective August 19, 2026.
The policy follows a standard landlord structure, offering coverage for dwelling, other structures, and personal property, along with liability protection. It also introduces optional endorsements such as water back up coverage, windstorm and hail deductible options, service line and home systems protection, and coverage for building codes, theft of materials, and vandalism. The product supports multiple additional insured structures, including LLCs and trusts.
Rental specific protection includes fair rental income coverage, designed to compensate landlords when a covered loss makes a unit uninhabitable.
The launch positions landlord coverage as an extension of the Custom360 ecosystem. Home customers to insure their 1-4 unit dwellings for non-commercial, personal landlord use allowing them to be familiar with a Custom360 product they currently have for the home they reside in as well.
Custom360 Landlord builds on the existing homeowners product introduced in Tennessee in 2023, allowing customers to insure 1–4 unit rental properties for personal, non-commercial use within a familiar Custom360 framework.
