The North River Insurance Company, part of Crum & Forster, is withdrawing its 24PetWatch pet insurance program in Maryland, ending a book of 892 policies with about $435k in premium.

The business has already been transitioned to a new carrier, Independence American Insurance Company, with nonrenewals completed in December 2025. North River will continue handling claims for prior coverage periods.

The filing removes all associated forms and formally closes out the program in the state.
