AXIS Insurance introduced a form update in Maryland on March 23, 2026 for its pet health insurance program administered by Fetch Insurance Services.

The update is scheduled to take effect March 1, 2027 for new business and May 15, 2027 for renewals. It is a form-only change with no updates to rates, policyholder count, or written premium.

Changes focus on coverage adjustments. Prescription coverage is extended to 180 days, and behavioral treatment now includes certified trainers and specialists, not just veterinarians. The policy adds lifetime medication coverage for behavioral conditions in newly adopted pets when diagnosed early and includes telehealth consultations as a covered benefit. Taxes are no longer excluded, expanding eligible reimbursement.

The program continues to be administered by Fetch Insurance Services. Additional updates include a preferred pharmacy network with potential co-pay waivers and reimbursement based on reasonable cost benchmarks.
