Branch Moves Arizona Policies to Its Reciprocal

Branch is transitioning Arizona home and auto policyholders from General Security National Insurance Company (SCOR) to Branch Insurance Exchange.

According to two approved filings, existing GSNIC policyholders were not automatically transferred when Branch launched the new program. Instead, they received offers from Branch Insurance Exchange to move their policies at renewal.

Branch said the filings do not make substantive coverage changes. They update the underwriting company listed in the renewal terms and conditions to reflect the carrier now issuing and renewing the policies.

The Arizona Department of Insurance approved both filings on September 9. The updated forms are expected to take effect for new business on October 15 and for renewals in late November.

As a side note, Branch is an insurance agency that also manages Branch Insurance Exchange, a licensed insurance company. Depending on the state, Branch policies are underwritten by Branch Insurance Exchange, General Security National Insurance Company, or Everspan Insurance Company.
