Branch Expands Homeowners Eligibility in Oregon

Branch Insurance Exchange has filed revised homeowners underwriting guidelines in Oregon, expanding eligibility to higher-value and secondary residences.

The insurer is increasing the maximum replacement cost estimate for new business from $1.25 million to $1.5 million. It will also begin accepting seasonal and secondary homes when the policyholder’s primary residence is insured by Branch. Such properties must be used solely for personal purposes and cannot be rented or offered as short-term rentals.

The revised guidelines also clarify eligibility requirements involving property condition, propane tanks, occupancy and multiple structures at the same location.

Branch submitted the filing on July 15 and requested an effective date of July 15, 2026, for new and renewal business.
