Kin Interinsurance Nexus Exchange has filed to introduce an early quote discount for new manufactured home insurance customers in Texas.

Policies quoted at least seven days before their effective date will receive a 10% discount during the initial term. The discount will decline by two percentage points at each renewal—falling to 8%, 6%, 4% and 2%—before disappearing after five policy terms.

The discount applies to all-other-perils, hurricane and severe convective storm premiums. Kin classified the filing as rate-neutral because it will not affect existing policies. The company’s Texas manufactured home book includes 1,724 policyholders and approximately $3 million in annual written premium.

The change is proposed to take effect August 12, 2026, for new business.
