Kin has reduced homeowners insurance rates by an average of more than 20% for new and existing policyholders in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties—its largest rate reduction in Florida.
The company pointed to the improving litigation environment. According to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, the HO3 litigation rate in the three counties fell from 24.1% for the 2022 loss year to 2% in 2025. Kin said it hasn’t implemented a statewide homeowners rate increase in Florida in three years.
Kin also raised its maximum total insured value to $14 million, including for DP3 policies, and introduced discounts for auto bundling, policyholders aged 50 and older, early quotes, and homes purchased within the past 10 years.
