Farmers Insurance Exchange, Mid-Century Insurance Company, and Truck Insurance Exchange have filed a rate and rule update in Kansas for their Workers Compensation Legacy Program, effective January 1, 2026. The change adopts NCCI’s January 1, 2026 loss-cost and miscellaneous values.
The filing affects 179 policyholders — 107 under Farmers Insurance Exchange, 22 under Mid-Century, and 50 under Truck Insurance Exchange — representing $516,478 in written premium across the group. Despite an overall indicated decrease of 2.5%, the selected rate impacts vary: Mid-Century at -0.83%, Truck at -0.28%, and Farmers Insurance Exchange at -2.25%.
Premium discounts apply only to accounts generating more than $10,000 in annual standard premium, but all tiers show a 0% discount applied. The filing retains a $160 expense constant, which is excluded from discounts, experience rating, and retrospective adjustments but counts toward the minimum premium.
