Cimarron Insurance has filed to revise the Accident Only rating in its Florida pet program, which it underwrites and Kanguro Insurance administers.
The changes are housekeeping. Cimarron is correcting a table reference in the Breed Factor footnote, setting the Accident Only age factor at 1.00, and removing the restrictions that previously limited Accident Only policies to a single $100 deductible and a single $5,000 annual limit. Going forward, all deductible and annual limit options will be available on Accident Only cover. None of it touches Accident & Illness rating.
Overall premium impact is 0.0% — Cimarron has no in-force Accident Only policies in the state.
Cimarron Insurance reported $4,378,297 in written premium on behalf of MGA Kanguro in 2024 and $8,566,485 in 2025, nearly doubling its book. Product filings point to an MGA that started writing pet insurance business as of 2022 across 25 states and DC.
