Cimarron Insurance Company has filed for approval of new rates and rules for its Pet Insurance Program in Alabama. The submission, made on June 18, 2025, includes Rate Manual v2.0 and updated state exception pages. The filing was approved by state regulators.

The request establishes policy fees of $25 at inception, $15 at each renewal, and $10 for reinstating lapsed policies. Additional fees include $4 for quarterly installment payments and $12 for monthly installments. Cimarron confirmed that no price optimization models, retention tools, or monthly trend factors are being used.

The program is administered by Kanguro Insurance, LLC. While no policyholder counts, premium metrics, or rate percentage changes were provided in the filing, the company processed a $100 filing fee with the Alabama Department of Insurance.
