Arch Insurance Company has received Alabama approval for new rates and rules for its wholesale travel protection program. The filing was submitted and approved October 1, with a requested effective date of November 2, 2026.
The manual includes plans covering trip cancellation, interruption, delays, baggage, emergency medical expenses and evacuation. Selected plans offer CancelFlex benefits covering up to 75% of nonrefundable trip costs, political and security evacuation, rental car damage and sports-related benefits. Coverage and limits vary by plan.
The rating rules allow Arch to customize coverage combinations and pricing for individual programs. They also permit pricing that removes age, trip cost or both as individual rating variables by using weighted averages.
Custom programs may receive credits or surcharges of up to 25% based on factors including trip characteristics, supervision of student travelers, underlying medical coverage, distribution methods and expected claims patterns.
The approved manual replaces an earlier filing. The supplied document does not identify an overall rate impact or show which provisions changed from the prior version.
