Arch Insurance Company has submitted a filing in Kansas to introduce a new group and blanket policy for its Travel Accident Program, expanding its specialty travel protection offering for organizations and the broader travel industry.
The product is designed to be marketed exclusively to organizations such as common carriers, employers, and educational institutions that will pay the full premium on behalf of covered individuals. Eligible insureds include business travelers, students, and other domestic and international travelers taking short-term trips of less than one year.
The term-based program protects non-refundable travel payments and deposits and provides coverage for trip cancellation, interruption, and delays, along with baggage and other ancillary benefits triggered by unforeseen events during travel. Coverage is available to U.S. residents and is structured as a specialty inland marine product.
The filing includes a new set of forms, including a group policy, certificate, application, and schedule of benefits, reflecting Arch’s move to standardize a group-focused travel protection framework aligned with the NAIC Travel Model Act.
Headquartered in Jersey City, Arch is positioning the program to support institutional travel sponsors seeking embedded protection for employee, student, or passenger travel exposures.
A similar filing was submitted in Texas at a later date.
