Stillwater Seeks Nebraska Homeowners Rate Cut

Stillwater is seeking a slight decrease to its Nebraska homeowners rates, with an overall rate impact of -0.4%. The filing, submitted on August 3 under the state’s File & Use process, would take effect on September 4, 2026 for new business and October 24, 2026 for renewals.

The filing affects 283 policyholders representing approximately $806,820 in written premium and is expected to reduce written premium by about $3,208. Individual policy changes range from a 13.5% decrease to a 7.4% increase.

According to the filing, the revision updates the company’s homeowners program, including rate pages and supporting actuarial documentation.

The filing was approved under Nebraska’s File & Use process on the same day it was submitted.
