Stillwater filed for a 2% overall rate increase for its Connecticut dwelling fire program, with changes proposed to take effect on September 1, 2026, for both new and renewal business.
The filing would affect 264 policyholders and increase written premium by approximately $14,507, based on an in-force premium volume of $726,067. Individual policy impacts range from a 0.9% decrease to a 6.6% increase.
Stillwater said the filing revises its dwelling program by updating loss cost multipliers and rate modification factors, with supporting actuarial exhibits covering expenses, reinsurance costs, loss experience, and estimated rate impacts. The filing follows an 11.8% rate revision that became effective on August 8, 2025.
