Stillwater has filed a 10.2% overall rate decrease for its Arizona homeowners program, following a 4.9% reduction effective in August.
The latest filing affects 17,184 policyholders and approximately $32.1 million in written premium, with an estimated premium reduction of $3.26 million. Individual policy impacts range from an 18.9% decrease to a 41.5% increase.
Stillwater is adopting ISO’s September 2026 Risk Analyzer loss costs and revising statewide peril modification factors. The changes produce average reductions of 10.2% for HO-3 policies and 10.3% for HO-5 policies.
Supporting exhibits show improved loss experience alongside higher average premiums. For HO-3 business, the reported loss and loss adjustment expense ratio fell from 106.5% in 2022 to 37.5% in 2025, while average premium increased from $921 to $2,075. Annual exposures declined from 29,882 to 16,156 over the same period.
Arizona acknowledged the filing October 1. Listed implementation dates are October 23, 2026 for new business and November 27, 2026 for renewals.
