XL Specialty has filed form updates for its Stamp & Coin Dealers inland marine program in South Dakota, focusing on coverage clarity rather than pricing changes.

The filing was submitted on January 21, 2026, and applies to both new and renewal business on approval the same day.

The updates revise policy language around two key areas: Basis of Valuation and Mail Courier Coverage. The changes tighten definitions and conditions tied to how insured property is valued and how losses are treated while items are in transit. The policy now more clearly aligns coverage limits with specific shipping providers, including USPS, UPS, DHL, Federal Express, Brinks, Malca Amit, Loomis Fargo, Dunbar, Positive Protection Inc., and Ferrari Express/PPI.

The policy also reiterates strict exclusions tied to employee infidelity, unexplained shortages, and losses from unattended vehicles that are not properly secured.

The Unattended Vehicle Exclusion requires all security devices to be fully operational, and a Protection Maintenance Clause places responsibility on insureds to properly maintain alarm and protection systems as a condition of coverage.
