Kemper Auto, through Response Insurance Company, is reducing rates by 27% for its Enhanced BVP Private Passenger Auto program in Oregon. The change impacts 134 policyholders and $201K in written premium.

“The Kemper Auto | Enhanced product was introduced on May 12, 2025. As a result of competitive analysis, we are taking this rate decrease in order to have overall rates more in line with our competitors, which means lower rates for our customers.”

Effective July 25, 2025, for new business and September 3, 2025, for renewals, the rate decrease reflects a competitive repositioning. Updates include expanded eligibility for liability-only policies, revised rating factors, and reductions across all core coverages. The program also introduces changes to fees and maintains a rate capping rule to manage premium shifts.
