Kemper Proposes Three New Auto Insurance Programs in Georgia

Kemper’s Response Worldwide Insurance Company has filed forms for a new Elite private passenger auto insurance program in Georgia, one of three new programs alongside Enhanced and Essential.

Submitted September 30, the filing applies to new business only, with no impact on existing policies. Kemper is seeking an effective date upon approval, with rates and rules addressed separately.

The Elite filing includes an optional Kemper Repair Network endorsement offering a reduced physical damage premium in exchange for using a network repair shop. Customers who choose an outside shop would lose the discount retroactively to policy inception, with the additional premium deducted from their claim settlement. The endorsement allows customers to use any repair facility without penalty if no network shop is within 30 miles of their listed address.

An optional Elite Value endorsement reduces several benefits compared with the base Elite policy, including custom equipment coverage from $500 to $250, sound equipment coverage from $1,000 to $750, and transportation reimbursement following theft from $20 to $15 per day. It also lowers towing and storage limits.

The filing remained submitted to the state as of October 1.
