Central Insurance Eyes Oregon Workers’ Comp Market

Central Insurance has filed to introduce its workers’ compensation program in Oregon through Central Insurance Company and All America Insurance Company.

The proposed launch date is October 1, 2026, for new and renewal business. The filing remains under review.

The program uses loss-cost multipliers of 2.493 for Central, 1.918 for Central Preferred and 1.475 for All America. It features a $160 expense constant, a maximum minimum premium of $550 and schedule-rating credits or debits of up to 40%.

Central is also introducing a variable dividend plan tied to the policyholder’s earned premium and loss ratio. Policies generating less than $5,001 in earned premium are ineligible, while the maximum anticipated dividend ranges from 10% for smaller accounts to 40% for accounts with more than $200,000 in earned premium. Dividends are not guaranteed.

The filing also includes foreign voluntary workers’ compensation coverage, repatriation and endemic-disease coverage, and waiver-of-subrogation options.
